Here is where we are in terms of MMT Plus

On Friday night, Phil and I discussed with Derek Hamiltion, some of the problems of the launch of MMT Plus and the solutions.

The main problem is that it launched way too early before it was ready.

You need to be aware of certain things that must be present at a site in order to make it function properly and, more in importantly, to be in legal compliance which effects all of you.

The first and serious problem which effects all of you is that paypal was the payment processor chosen for payment. It is against paypal's terms of service for any matrix site, to use paypal as a procesor. It can result in the loss of the company's paypal account but, more importantly, in the loss of your paypal account.

I asked Derek to refund all payments so as not to put anyone in jeopardy.

Yesterday, I learned that that had not happened and that the site will credit your payment for next month.

This is not acceptable and it sent a loud and clear message that you are not the focus or concern of this company moving forward. You may lose your paypal account if you decide to leave this payment in place.

So much for the "people's site"

Derek actually has a legal payment processor that he is the process of setting up and can be used for payment but until the payments from paypal are refunded, I am not going to take another look at MMT plus because the message so far is clear. You don't count.

Phil and my second consideration, which we made known to Derek, is that the servers would need to be optomized by professional tech people. We have no way of knowing if that is in the works, as we have had no word back from Derek for the past 5 days. This is a problem for us since lack of communication from the top is not acceptable when there are serious issues pending.

Third, a site, in order to be legal, must have a sales site that clearly tells you what it is selling. It must clearly tell you the pay plan, in detail, It must tell you the terms of service that you are agreeing to. It must have a reliable contact and support address. It should have an "about us" section that lets you know who the principals of the company are and an address where they are located and can be contacted.

Foruth, the tracking of the sign ups must be absolutly spot on. You cannot have people sign up under you if they are not tracked properly at the site and this requires extensive testing which does not appear to have been done in the rush to launch MMT PLus.

All of the above prerequisites of the launch of any site, large and small, were missing at the launch of MMT Plus.

These were Phil and my concerns on launch date. They may be addressed in the future, but we have not heard word one as to what is actually being done and we are moving on.

In our opinion, the matters pending to make the launch of MMT Plus go smoothly and be in legal compliance are ones that are not your normal glitches that occur at any launch. Rather they are the lack of understanding of the basic requirememts of an online business and of the laws that govern it.

In the future, MMT may very well be the best thing since sliced bread but, at this time and, for the foreseeable future, it is not ready for prime time.

I know that for 5 weeks you have been hyped up and down until the cows came home. Unfortunately the chickens have come home to roost.

I bought into that hype and I could kick myself now for doing it because many of you are frustrated and upset and rightly so.

So there we have it! the current state of affairs and a pretty sorry one at that! So we all watch and wait to see what happens but for now I will not be continuing with this project certainly not until significant chages have been made.

It is of course entirely up to you whether you choose to or not but in my opinion your next course of action should be to contact PayPal for a refund. In order to assist in this process I spoke at great length with PayPal today and this is the best course of action if you want to your refund request to be granted. Please follow the below exactly as this is the best way to get your refund without problems.

Go into you PayPal account & find the MMT transaction & click on details.

Scroll down to the bottom until you see:

Have a problem? Address a problem with this transaction in the Resolution Center <> Click the words "Resolution center"

Then on the next page <> Click "Report problem with a purchase" and continue as follows

What type of problem would you like to address? <> Select "Item dispute"

I'm opening this dispute because <> Select "I haven't received my item"

What is the category of your purchase? <> Use the dropdown box and select "Service"

In the message to seller box, copy and paste the following text:

The site I paid to access has been down since the day I paid http://mmtplus.com
The customer support site on the payment receipt is not accessible: http://faceticket.com
The email you have lodged with PayPal as the contact bounces all mails.

and click continue.

It is likely at the next page it will say that the seller is unable to deal with the dispute at this time and you will immediately have to escalate the complaint. Do this immediately and then wait. Although we can not determine for sure what will happen in your individual case as PayPal has been know to do strange things, you should receive a refund shortly afterwards.

If you paid by credit card and anything goes wrong, you have the fall back of contacting your credit card company and instigating a chargeback which in this case will almost certainly be successful so you are well protected.

I hope this information helps if you decide you do want a refund (I strongly advise that you go the refund route or your PayPal account could be at risk!) and that you use the exact procedure above to obtain a refund)

I would at this point like to personally apologize for the disappointment and inconvenience this may have caused and I also hope you understand that I am recommending the above course of action primarily to protect you all.

Its been a frustrating few days with the launch delays but we have it on good authority this is because the bods at MMT are making absolutely sure we dont get off to a false start!
